Suffering from low back pain? Want to keep your low back healthy and pain free? Therapeutic yoga can provide the tools for you to have a healthy and happy low back!

 

For many of us, muscle weakness, overuse, stress, habitual patterns of posture, and daily repetitive activities contribute to low back pain and reduce quality and enjoyment of life. It is estimated that 75-85% of all Americans will experience back pain at some point in their lives.

If low back pain is impacting your life, join us for a 4-week series to learn how to:
  • relieve low back pain with specifically adapted and sequenced yoga postures
  • build a strong and flexible foundation for your spine
  • create core strength and support for your back
  • use breathing techniques to reduce stress that contributes to back pain
This 4-week series is based on the yoga postures and breathing practices from the Viniyoga therapeutic yoga tradition used in a National Institutes of Health (NIH) clinical study.The results published in the 2005 Annals of Internal Medicine demonstrated a substantial reduction in low back pain using these specifically-designed Viniyoga practices.
